UpStyled Salon carries on long tradition

UpStyled Salon opened the Fall of 2023. But the long history of cosmetology services dates back to 1964 when Duchess Beauty Salon first opened its doors in Downtown Asheboro, NC.

The salon has changed names and owners through the years, and we are humbled to carry on a long tradition of welcoming a community in for great hair & skin services & fun, spirited conversations.

Renovations to the 1940s building, which was originally a fish market, uncovered original brick & cement floors, exposing the past. A beautiful white tin ceiling was added & 40-year-old lights saved from a nearby church highlight the past.

But the real magic happens through the people & services offered at UpStyled Salon.

Experienced cosmetologists Lori Hicks & Alisa Lee, both from Asheboro, NC, have spent several years perfecting their craft. Kaleigh Burrow of Randleman, NC, an amazing licensed esthetician, offers treatments and personalized recommendations to improve the health and appearance of your skin. And Clarke Allen, the newest member of the cosmetology team, is taking walk-ins and has monthly specials she shares on Instagram and Facebook.
